Apprenticeship
Apprenticeship
Many who encounter the medicines of Nature are touched by their beauty and transformative power. For some, this awakens a deeper calling — the wish to serve others and share the blessings they have received.
As the global medicine movement grows, we also witness the need for greater preparation, responsibility, and integrity. Without proper training and support, the desire to help can sometimes lead to harm — for participants, facilitators, and the wider community.
While challenges are part of any learning path, we can offer something far more valuable by consciously creating safe, trauma-informed spaces that allow true transformation to unfold. Though this requires more time and care, it is ultimately a more sustainable and rewarding approach.
Holding ceremonies and retreats is collaborative work — and when done with heart, it can be a joyful act of service. Each gathering requires many hands and roles, from logistics and hospitality to music and energetic support. Participating in this way is a living apprenticeship, an opportunity to learn the art of holding space through real experience.
The spiritual path is multidimensional and takes its own time. It asks for dedication, humility, and courage to keep walking even when challenges arise. Within our community, we offer a safe and respectful container for learning how to work with Nature’s forces responsibly and in right relationship.
Through this work and service, we receive the priceless gifts of belonging, humility, and mutual learning.
How to Become an Apprentice
Becoming an apprentice is an organic process that unfolds through genuine connection and shared experience.
We welcome those who:
• Have prior experience with the medicines.
• Show up consistently and with humility.
• Are willing to learn from mistakes and stay curious.
• Bring flexibility and teamwork — including the willingness to handle the less glamorous tasks that make everything flow smoothly.
Before inviting new apprentices onto our team, we like to see them in action — demonstrating authentic commitment and reliability without expectation of reward.
If you feel called to deepen your path, the best way to begin is to join one of our events as a participant, express your interest, and let the relationship evolve naturally. If it is meant to be, the way will reveal itself — guided by Yuxibu, the Great Spirit.
Exchange & Contribution
There is no fixed financial fee for apprenticeship — learning happens through service. Depending on circumstances, you may be asked to contribute to the practical expenses of an event. In some cases, those who take on leading organizing roles may also receive compensation, depending on the project’s outcome.
