About Rare Muka & dieta
A plant medicine dieta is a traditional practice in many Amazonian indigenous cultures. It is a study and a deep initiation into the world of spirit, the plants, and the medicines. Dieta usually involves a period of seclusion and fasting to help establish a deep connection with the plant(s). “Dietas” are designed to help individuals receive the healing and teachings of the plant, which has its own spirit and consciousness.
Rare Muka is a vine that grows in the Amazon rainforest that various indigenous tribes, including the Huni Kuin, diet and connect with in order to learn and obtain that which they want to achieve in life. Among the Huni Kuin people, shamans, healers and leaders of the indigenous communities diet this plant in order to strengthen their alliance with nature and to be able to harness the force and power of nature so that they can better fulfill their communal responsibilities.
Rare Muka is considered by the Huni Kuin as the ‘light of nature’ that protects life, illuminates the mind and opens spiritual paths. When dieted with respect and commitment, Rare Muka offers great powers that need to be carried with responsibility and respect. What one thinks about with real concentration happens. For this reason, it is important to have humble intentions. Intentionally disrespecting the dieta can have challenging consequences that may, in some cases, require additional dietas to correct mistakes.
Traditionally, the Rare Muka dieta is carried out in a secluded place in the rainforest, following a restricted diet (see below), without contact with outsiders, supported and guided by ancient rituals and prayers, many natural medicines and the spirits of nature.
Many spiritual leaders and healers will diet Rare Muka for a minimum of 3 months to 1 year, to connect with its full force. In modern times, it is possible to complete the diet in parts. In our experience, connecting with Rare Muka in dieta outside the jungle is also an extremely powerful experience – while at the same time being more accessible and adapted to living conditions outside the jungle.
The dieta is an opening and only the beginning of the transformation process. To receive the teachings and healing of Rare Muka, and to integrate the transformation can take up to a year or longer depending on the intentions of the participant. The journey is demanding, and life will bring many challenges to help us learn and strengthen our spirit.
Our work is supported by the Huni Kuin community at Boa Vista village in the Kaxinawá Indigenous Territory of Alto Rio do Jordão in the Brazilian state of Acre.

Disclaimer
Working with plant medicines is a personal journey of investigation and exploration that should not be entered into lightly. Plant medicines are tools that can offer relief for various symptoms, however they do not fix our problems. Instead they are teachers who can offer us profound insights and personal growth experiences, and then it is our job to consciously choose to make the necessary changes in our lives (at physical, mental, emotional & spiritual levels) so that we can create the state of being that we desire.
Plant medicines should not be considered a substitute for medical treatment or psychotherapy. The results of the experience depend largely on the participant’s background, perspectives and their commitment to integrating the experience after the dieta.

About the payment
We value the medicines and our work. Offering these opportunities and doing all the work that is necessary to create a comfortable and safe container demands many resources – way beyond the actual event itself (energy, time & money). We consider that paying the asked price of the dieta is a way of demonstrating respect towards the force of nature, the medicines and our work.
Rare Muka opens the gates to our connection with nature and the great powers that come with it. Access to this power is a great gift, but it also comes with a responsibility to work with integrity. Handling strong forces can be challenging, and requires clear intention, focus, commitment, effort, dedication and sacrifice. Manifesting the payment is one way of showing that you have the resources and resilience to do the work that it takes to get what you desire. We believe that if your intentions are good and this path is meant for you, then the universe will provide what you need and ask for.
We offer discounts to our apprentices who have, at least once, participated in the dieta with us. The discounted rate is in exchange for actively working to support our service and is also dependent on available resources.
Refund policy:
90% refundable if cancelled one (1) week before start of dieta. Cancellations less than one week before the start of the dieta are non-refundable, except for against a doctor’s certificate. If the organizer needs to cancel the retreat, the reservation fee will be refunded in full.
Testimonials
“The Muka dieta according to the Huni Kuin tradition was a really deep and magical experience for me. I felt at home and supported in the safe and warm atmosphere created by Rua Inu and Minna. The dieta was an unforgettable and transformative experience for me. It helped me connect with my own power and strengthened my ability to be present to my own processes. The traditions and ceremonies of Huni Kui, together with Finnish nature and amazing food, provided strong support for in-depth work. I learned a lot about the traditions of the Huni Kui tribe and every day during the Muka diet offered valuable insights, opening deeper layers of inner wisdom and creating a strong connection with nature. I recommend this trip to everyone who is open to diving deeper into their own strength, Huni Kui tradition and connection with nature.”

“Minna and Rua Inu know how to maintain a safe and loving space in a beautiful way, which makes Xinã Bena genuinely feel like home. Doing Muka dieta with them was a precious exploration of – and a dive into – the various dimensions of the plant medicine work. I felt privileged to be able to spend a longer time together at their home and enjoy music, stories and a conscious connection with conscious nature together. The food deserves a special mention as Minna conjures up wonderful meals with side dishes day in and day out. 10+/10. Rua Inu and Txana Siriani are dedicated ambassadors of the Huni Kuin tradition and fire bearers in Finland. Real deal. It is an honor to be able to walk this path with the guidance of such teachers. Haux!”

After the dieta, I have noticed that I have been able to let go some of the harmful beliefs I had. I have been taking good care of myself and I’ve been feeling very positive. I have noticed that I have so much more self-respect, it is even difficult to act in a way that is not good for myself, regarding my life style and the company that I choose to spend my time with. I worry less, I have a healthier approach towards some things that I can’t control. I am more loving towards myself. I feel thankful and I’m conscious of it.
